Would anyone know if or where I could get a list of inn keepers/landlords from?
I have Joseph Anelay inn keeper at Balne, Yorkshire on the 1881 census.
It would be interesting to know which pub and if it's still there.

He was living at the Four Horse Shoes Inn on the 1871 Balne's  census

1891 no Joseph, but Henry Anelay aged 29 was Blacksmith and living at the Three Horse Shoes Inn in Highgate,  Balne (maybe got the name wrong on the census)


The Four Horse Shoes is still there

         In 1881 Joseph was at the Thorntree in Balne.
