1901 Look-up Please - JENKINS - Llanelly

Looking for more information on Griffith John JENKINS (b.1890) in the 1901 Census.

In 1891 Griffith John lived with his parents David (36 - Iron Smelter) and Sarah (35), any further information on this family would be greatly appreciated.

This is the right family, with Mary E, but I have Margaret A as a sibling from other sources/census not Marrie A, and Janet is a new one to me. The family is on the same street as 1891 though, so this must be the right one.

Sorry Allan, my typo, is Maggie A, not Marrie A.  Fingers not warmed up yet.

Just as a matter of interest, did the census have the family speaking Welsh or Welsh/English?

It a bit tricky to tell for sure Allan. 

Above David's entry, all other people are marked as speaking "Both", with lots of ditto marks down the page, but  David's entry had "Welsh" written, then it has either been partially crossed through and the ditto mark added, or they have put one of those official tick marks  against the word Welsh. 


Sarah and the children, on the other hand, are definately listed as only speaking English.

Hmmm, just curious. 1891 shows all the family as speaking Welsh/English.
