I've just stumbled across this thread and am hoping to find out more about my Ogbourne ancestors!  My ggrandmother was Lily Isabella Amanda Maria Ogbourne, born in Burma in 1859.  I think she is connected to Charles Henry Ogbourne in some way, but I can't find any concrete evidence.  The family story is that she was disowned by her father when she married my gt grandfather James Welch in India in 1879, and that she lost contact with her family. If any Ogbourne descendants have any info I'd be really interested in it.
Thanks

Hello, I’ve only just found your messages on Rootschats R.E. The Ogbournes, my mother (Agnes Maud Irene Ogbourne) was a daughter of Albertina and Henry Arthur Webb.
My daughter made huge family trees and I will check dates etc.
My mother had a brother Langley.
My brother Michael Leigh and I (Angela Doriel) were her children.

Are you still searching through family history?

My phone number is 01364 72313
All the best, Poppet (Angela) Hall.

Hi Angela, thanks for your reply. I’m still trying to find info about my gt grandma Lily Ogbourne and whether she’s connected to your Ogbourne family. Any info you have would be brilliant! I know her parents were George Bowen Bell Ogbourne and Isabella Amanda Duncan, I think Lily’s mother died when she was quite young. I can’t find any records of any siblings or other family members, I’d be interested to know who is in your tree.  Thanks.

Quite by accident, last year, I discovered that Charles Henry Ogbourne’s daughter, Mabel was married to the nephew of the famous poet, Elizabeth Barrett Browning.
