Williamson Marshall Success Hurrah!!
« on: Wednesday 16 July 08 14:10 BST (UK) »
I just thought I had to let you all know I have found a distant relative descended from the Williamsons of Stranraer. I had posted queries elsewhere on this site which relate to this family for which I received loads of very useful information.

Some credit must certainly go to GenesReunited where the contact was first discovered. We have exchanged a few old family photos and, guess what, one was exactly the same picture so SNAP!

I see the Wigtownshire section is receiving a lot more attention these days and always scan it to see if there's any news!

Well done rootschat for filling in the detail for me.

Another successful story.

Hi Gadget

Thanks for that comment. I just knew you would be there watching from somewhere. We are both talking "gyspies" and exchanging Romany words just like old friends.

The art exhibition was a great success too - great fun.

Keep busy and take a break when you can. Why not get to grips with those ellusive Wilsons from Kirkcudbright?

Now you've had success, Judy, why not you help me find those darned Wilsons  ;D

Problem is that the Parton parish records are lost for the period that I need and I've looked at the Kirk sessions.

I'm now in Wiltshire looking for OH's Pearce line - got a choice of 6 births 1760-1775   ::) ::) ::)
