can't find the others in 1851 but here is 1841 which I think supports the theory that the 'Lukes' are all related

Family Search IGI has a birth and baptism for Luke Rossiter 1800/1801 Earsdon - parents William Rossiter and Mary Scott. There are also a Martha, John and Mary from same parents.

Thomas is the son of Luke Rossiter and Elizabeth Tweedy. They had a daughter Mary born at New York.

Luke as you say is the son of William Rossiter and Mary Scott.

Sue was right about Thomas.

Looks like you have linked Abner to his ancestors.

Hi heywood,

By way of a postscript, on checking my database I discovered that the Robert I mentioned as an alternative father for Luke is actually Thomas's brother.

Further to that he also had a son Luke born 1860.

It's a small world isn't it!!
