Hi Anne,
It is as Carole says- it's just great to help. It's not really emotional - I have been with my own ancestors but what is really interesting is an insight into social history. I'm sure Carole would agree that sometimes you get really hooked with a particular quest and for a short time the people take on some sort of reality - odd  ::)
As I said earlier, if you want other detaills e.g. 1871 census if you haven't and any others please post. People are always ready to help.

best wishes
heywood

PS The 1881 census is free to search on Ancestry.co.uk and also on Family Search. That site also has IGI - with some church records provided by the Church of Latter Day Saints - lots of records from actual records but some are submitted by church members so you need to be cautious re their validity.
Many areas now have soem records on line so it's always worth a search and there is also Free BMD and Ancestry have some free Births Marriages and Deaths.

ok, now this is a real test, well it is for me :-\.........if Hannah/Eliz. Haddock was born in 1841 is it possible that she could have got married in 1855 to her first husband? because all i can find at the moment is that she married a john Hulley in 1855 and then 9 yrs later John Brunt.

Wey Hey indeed but I have just checked the full GRO index and there are 2 separate Brunt entries just like freebmd so looks like George and brother John had a double wedding

1871 shows brother George married to "Ann" b Eckington 1846/7
