I'm interested in finding about the Sedgewick family as I think my family may be linked. My Sedgewicks were canal boatmen home base Wigan but who seem to have other branches that travelled further. What caught my eye was another Sedgewick (not William) in a census record as a lodger next door to some other relatives and down as Acrobat. William Sedgewick showman is down as from Manchester but I'm wondering if there is a Wigan link. The show came to Wigan a couple of times I know.
