Surname Interests Matching
« on: Monday 28 July 08 09:00 BST (UK) »
Just an idea, and I don't know how difficult this might be to implement since I have no background in writing computer programs.

It would be wonderful if when we look at our surname interests, that we had the option to see the results in a "table" format, each area separated in boxes. Results able to be ordered by surname and/or county.

It's difficult to scan the entries as they are for possible matches, especially when the surname is a very common one.

Thank you for your consideration.  :)
Evans: Gwaenynog, Llanfair Caereinion, Montgomery, Wales (1700s); Rock, Worcester & Kidderminster WOR, Cirencester GLS, Aston, Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield, Perry Barr, and Handsworth.
Thompson, Eaton, Cox, Allin: Oxford OXF, late 1700s onward.

Hi NedraE,

Welcome to RootsChat :)

Are you referring to the names in members' signatures,

or do you mean a different output format for the Surname Interests Table
(see link at bottom of every page
[Copyright]  [Free RootsChat Webspace] [Your Surname Interests] [Shrink Link] [About Us]  [Terms of Use] )

You can search by name and county there, but maybe you are thinking of something else ? :)

regards,
Bob
