Gladys,
How do we know for sure that Charles Bunyan married Sophia Swallow and not Sophia Twidell?   Both Sophia's were from Wheathamstead and I can't find any marriage between Charles and Sophia Swallow.

Hi David, thank you for that but i have already got that marriage detail, you see what it is that in 1881 census a Susan Swallow age 64 sister in law  m born Wheathampton  is staying in with Charles & Sophia Bunyan and Sophia was also born Wheathampton so thats why its best to send for that birth certificate and get the right mother`s maiden name.

Hiya Cas, thank you for all that which is very kind of you and it does look like Charles married Sophia Twiddle as i couldn`t find a marriage for him to a Sophia Swallow.  so like you said a birth certificate for Sophia 1868 will get the right mother`s maiden name.

I agree birth cert to confim is good. 

As you can see from bapts for Richard & Sophia, there is a sister named Susanah and she married William Swallow.
