As I think you have access to the census, James Butcher aged 71 and wife are actually on the previous page next door to Sarah on the 1851 census.

If you don`t have access let me know and I will transcribe.

Hi Wendy,

The Butchers including young Sarah can be found on HO107/495/2 folio 43 page 16.  Civil Parish of Bispham.  You can also just type in James Butcher 1781 Bispham and it should bring it up.  By the way, Sarah was actually 32 on the 1851 census not 37 as transcribed

Unfortunately there are far too many James Barlows to be able to pinpoint him.
