Hello Helen. Here they are:-

In affectionate remembrance of Thomas Maughan, the beloved husband of Mary Maughan of Crook, who died January/8/1890 age 46 years
Also Mary Makepeace, aunt of the above named Mary Maughan, who died June/6/1887 aged 73 years.
Also Mary Grey (the above named Mary Maughan) wife of William Grey of Crook, who died December/29/1905 aged 62 years.
The above wording in brackets are on the gravestone like that. The must have envisaged people having problems with the inscription so they were very thoughtfull and made it clear.

In memory of John Pearson Maughn, who died September/24/1964 aged 87 years.

Helen. There is a gravestone for William Grey at Crook.
If the posting for for Maughan is yours and you require the William Grey gravestone inscription, just say.

Adam

Hello Gillian. There are a few Margaret Smith's but none within 25 years of the date that you mention.
And that is checking Crook municipal cemetery, Stanley Crook graveyard and the Crook Catholic graveyard.
