Hi Ambers

Checked Trealaw, which would be the nearest large cem, also Treorchy which opened earlier, incase she was in a family plot, but I cannot locate.

Possibly buried in one of the small churchyards in the area?

Many thanks Cas :)

I hoped to find Susannah Catherines burial place in-case one of her parents was buried with her...oh, yes I am still trying to find those elusive ggrandparents of mine last resting place. ::)

Is there any way of me checking out small churchyard records, is there a list of them?

Regards Ambers :)

No lists to my knowledge, also some have been cleared for new build etc.  You could try contacting the FH library at Treorchy, they are very good

My gosh, that was quick. :) ...thank you for the Links.

Many cleared for new build, :-[ , glad it's not me that has to live there :(

Their daughter was my best bet for finding them, as I know she died in Penygraig.
She must have been buried  in one of the smaller Churchyards, so it's possible that her parents were too.

Not all were burial places, but I know a lot of the small church/chapels were sold, lots of them have been made into flats etc, it is very sad.  Also many stones have been moved to different location, etc, to make way for a new bypass...

Dont think it would be St Barnabas on link for Penygraig as google states it did not open until after 1900

But found this....  MI's on link.

http://home.clara.net/daibevan/LookupExch/GLAmi.html

Ron is very helpful...ask him to look in both, if he cannot locate, also he may possibly have more info, on what small churchyard burial places that maybe left in the area?

Rhondda, Penygraig, Capel Soar Welsh Baptist
Rhondda, Cymmer Independent

Hope your lucky  :)

Mention of names listed in MI's Capel Soar Welsh Baptist

If all else fails, check what GFHS has to offer?

Hi ambers,
if you go to familyhistoryonline  www.familyhistoryonline.net/ there is one Susannah Catherine Evans found in 1885 in the Glamorgan  MI's , which looks like a good possibility that it maybe yours . To view the entry it will cost just  6 pence - to buy credits minimum is 5 pounds. The MI will tell you  what church she is buried at  and date etc.

It's always worth searching the Familyhistoryonline site for Glamorgan MI's and BI's , they hold quite a few for Glamorgan  thanks to the Glamorgan society. It's where I initally found many of my Glamorgan families burial places.

If I had credits I would take a look at the 6 pence entry for you, but I haven't had credits with  them for a few years now.

Hope that is of some help
Kind Regards :)

Hi Cas & Cell :D

Many thanks to you both for finding the  links for me...I have tucked them away in my Favourites/ ;)

I have got the Burial Ground from FHO..... Tonyrefail, Capel-y-ton, place Ref 72

Hopefully you can help me with the following questions:
Is 72 a plot number?
What sort of Church/Chapel is that, Independent?
What area is it in, Penygraig?
Would I be able to find out if any other member of the family is buried with her.

Ambers :)
