Vaughan-Lawrey
« on: Tuesday 05 August 08 04:32 BST (UK) »
Have posted before on other sites and have had wonderful respose..so thank you to all people concerned. Have now further information.

Benjamin Vaughan and his wife Deborah (nee Marland) arrived in Melbourne, Benjamin in 1856 and Deborah and daughter Mary i n 1858.

Daughter Mary born 1849  Ashton under Lyne, married in Vic 1874 to John Lawrey, I know they had a daughter Mary Vaughan Lawrey in  1875 at Sandhurst Vic, have not been able to track her down apart from info received that she married someone called Flower ?? it now appears that they had other children namely
John 1877, Benjamin 1879, William 1881, Jane 1884, Percy 1885.

Have tried all avenues, Dept of Justice Vic, must have every Lawrey in the book except the ones I want !!! Mary died in 1887 and John Lawrey remarried in 1892 and had a further 10 children  :o research has been done on this side of the family so it is pretty complete, but I am getting nowhere with the John Lawrey and Mary Vaughan union, or their children.
Can anyone help please.  Thank you once again to all who helped with the U.K. information..Regards Patvp

Wonderful news and thank you so much.

All information eagerly accepted as I have none, only got the information at the week-end, spent all the time at BDM Dept of Justice and got nowhere at all (why do they make it so difficult) am actually looking for descendents would be marvellous to know there are extended family here.
Once again thank you..Pat
