Hi

does anyone know what this is "Horton Blockhole" I came across this word when researching a family in Cheddington and would like to know what it is is it a name of a house or a place

Any clues please, as it has fascinated me  :)
Martins, Scotney, Loasby, Angels, Spencer and Roberts all from the Northamptonshire and Hertfordshire area

I can tell you that HORTON is a small hamlet not far from Cheddington, infact it is just a one road hamlet on the way to Leighton Buzzard. i have never noticed a house called Blockhole, but then i havn't looked for one either- perhaps next time i drive that way i will look a bit closer at the house names.
