Hi John

In the 1933 directory it was

Abbey Hostel (Albt. Taylor, mngr), Commercial Hotel, East St, Tel No 11
Don't cry because its over. Smile because it happened.

Hi there

I have just returned from spending the weekend at crowland looking back at my childhood.
I stayed at the Abbey Hotel many times with my family when my Dads friend Harry Allman , Alman not sure of his surname spelling , was landlord. about 55 yrs ago does anyone know of him and what happened to him ? he was there with his wife I remember they also had a son .
If not do you know how I can find out
