Janis,

Gladys changed it from Isabella b. Ridsdale    to     Eleanor b. Seghill  ;)

probably because Isabella was too young for the 1841 census and anyway was born Gosforth!  Margaret though was stated to be born Ridsdale, which seems to be near Hunstanworth

But they're hiding in 1841

GENUKI 'Places in Northumberland' gives Ridsdale as a variant of Redesdale and places it in Corsenside parish, a few miles north-east of Bellingham.

Hello Janis,  Kath was right it was Redesdale, these different spellings you have to be a Detective  ;D  and Barbara i did change Isabella to Eleanor  because she wouldn`t have been in the 1841 census and where are they hiding ???   so i guess thats the end of looking for them in 1841.  Regards Gladys :)

Just repeating the 1851 info to help anyone else also searching for them in  1841:

(Henry listed under Wilburn - which I have looked for in 1841!!)

1851 HO107/2418 Folio 554 Page 30
Broomhill, East Chevington, Northumberland
MILBURN
Henry   32 Coalminer       Bellingham
Ann       32         "  wife    Shillbottle
Edward   7                       Gosforth
John        2                      Warkworth
Margaret 4                       Ridsdale
Eleanor 12                       Sheghill (Seghill)
Mary      10                       Cramlington
Ann          8                           "
Isabella    6                      Gosforth
William visitor 15              Cramlington

so it looks as if in 1841 they should be either in Seghill where Eleanor was born, or Cramlington where Mary was born

Barbara  :)
