Without looking back over your posts, Glady, who were Henry's parents?

Just found this little one in 1841 - with grandparents? Think she's a bit young though

Think they must be totally mistranscribed or missed off altogether, have tried a few sites.  If I get time later I'll run through my census cds for Cramlington and Seghill, although I suppose they could be anywhere!

Gladys, canny Blyth lassie,

I am still on the same theme I was in your earlier post about Milburns on Census 1841.

They shouldn't be difficult to find on C1841, but they are !. But my gut feeling is that not all the children on C1851 (page 2418-554-30) belong to both of them.

Have you got birth registrations details for all the children ?

Edward and Isabella were born in Gosforth, but I can see no sign of their birth registrations (as Milburn) within Castle Ward Reg District.

Nor can I see a birth registration for Eleanor Milburn within Tynemouth RD ( for Seghill) in the appropriate era.

The 1851 census enumerator usually entered people's children in descending order from the eldest to youngest, with no relevance to sex. But for the Milburns, he entered Edward 7 then John 2, then the five dtrs .. Margaret 4, up to Isabella 6, then Eleanor 12, then down to Mary 10, and Ann 8.

Was he in his record, segregating Ann's children not by Henry, from those by Henry ?

Sorry no answers !
