Henry Chard
« on: Wednesday 13 August 08 09:29 BST (UK) »
Henry Chard was born circa 1797 in Poole.

By the 1851 census he is living in St. Pancras London with his wife Susannah and children.

Would anyone know who Henry's parents were or any other information on him.

The 1841 census suggests that he was born in 1793/4.

The children in 1841 and 1851 match up with this marriage and subsequent baptisms on the IGI:

Henry Chard
Susannah Phillips
14 April 1816  St Pancras Old Church

It would be worth looking at the original register for witnesses (although his parents may have remained in Poole).

All the families I am researching are listed on the main page here:

Thank you Richard for your reply.

It is possible that Henry came to London without his parents in which case  it is going to be harder to find them.
