Dear all,

Deed relating to the farm called Greenwoods in Polstead bought of Mr E Daniels in 1845 by Sir Josua R Rowley bart'.
With note that land part of Spotts Far of 5 Jan 1939 subject to rentcharge of 33 a year paid to the Congregational Church of Nayland
HA 108/2/76    1710-1845

includes 1821,1823 Mortgages from John Lewis of Polstead to Rev Joseph Herrick of Colchester (Ess)

I am not really understanding this.............
Does this mean the Rev owned some land?
Is there anything in the
HA 108/2/76

Can anyone look for me please ?

Argentina x

I am probably as confused as you are argentina  ::)

but, I would imagine that the Rev Herrick of Colchester looked after the Congregational Church (and others on the circuit that includes Nayland).

Hope someone far more knowledgeable sees your appeal.
