I would recommend asking the Local Studies Library at Burnley if they have anything, giving them the names and the date of the supposed marriage. They were fantastic in helping me and even sent me a copy of a newspaper report on the death of my great grandfather, showing a small photo of him, which even my mother had never seen before.
