William Jackson, Kinnoull.

Researching my brother-in-law's mob, the Jacksons from Perthshire.

   William Jackson was married to Helen Watson in Erroll (March 1844), and his census details him as being born in Perth, Perthshire, and on another in Kinnoul, Perthshire and the age stated on the various census papers are all over the place. Also his wife Helen died (1880) of 'old age' aged 48!
  On William's death extract, his parents are given as "David Jackson" and "? Hutton". The only Jackson Hutton marriage I have found is David and Christian Hutton, married in Kinnoull 1818. A search of SP for children of theirs shows an Alexander, John, and Joseph, but no William. I can find no details on William's birth, or census/death details of his parents.
    William appears to have moved to Tealing before settling in Dundee, where he died in 1894 aged 58.
 Helen's age at her death suggests she was born in 1832, and William's suggest he was born 1836. A wee bit young to be married in 1844!

Have I got the right bloke, and/or the right parents? I seem to be stuck fast.
