Hi Patches, thank you for getting back to me.  It's interesting about the different Wynds, do you know of any websites which may have pictures or descriptions of them?  Thank you for your time.

Hi patches,
You can,t say that & leave without telling us how ;D

Flesh Wynd is between Mid St & Nether St at the top of the Path
the 3 Wynd,s between Back St & Mid St are Broad Wynd,Bogie,s Wynd & West Wynd.
When the new house,s were built most of the street names were kept so Flesh Wynd could still be there.
My Weir,s were in Mid St but long before your wife was there. :)
Dundee. Pullar, Gray, Calman,Halket.
Fife, Auchterlonie, Binnie, Briggs,Dempster,Herd,Mann,Kidd, Grubb, Rollo,Henderson,McLaren, Fairfull,Weir. Just to name a few.

Hi Royd,

I'm not really sure but there is a series of books showing "Old Kinghorn", "Old Dysart" etc. giving old photos of the areas. I think WH Smith sells them. I think I have some of them but as I've just moved house it will be a miracle if I ever find them again.

Hi Ostler,

Its not very difficult, I saw you had Kinnes in your interests and you said that you lived in Markinch. Marjory Hughes was my 1st cousin, three times removed.

Hi Christine,

I'm sure that there was only one Calman family in Dundee in the late 1700's. Most of this family are buried at the "Howff", grave 58. This is the family of John Calman born 1771, Elie, Fife. John was also my 1st cousin, but five times removed. Is this your family?

So, if I'm related to both these people then they must also be related to each other

Hi Kirsty,

The latest I have on this family is the death of Margaret Herd Pullar in 1943, Dundee.

I think we have gone off topic
