Now why do  you  think  Thomas Sanders married Ellen Burke?

The thomas Sanders who  married Jane Rankin  by  the marriage details says he was born Guildford  and  there is a birth for a Thams Sanders in Guildford in 1868.

Patrick Richard Burke was born in 1832 in London, father was John Burke.
He married Catherine Donaghue in 1867 in Busselton. They had 4 children, Ellen, Matilda Mary, William John (Paddy) and Catherine. Catherine's father was John Donaghue.
He sailed to King George Sound (now Albany) via Bunbury and Busselton on the "Kestrel" in 27 May 1861. He made his home and married in Busselton. I have a picture of his grave stone.
Ellen Burke married Joseph Ernest Kenworthy and had 3 children, Lina Ernestina Kathleen, Thorald Ernest Clarence and Alfred William. She then married Thomas James Sanders and had at least another 6 children, Janet Ellen, Catherine Mary, Thomas Royale, Walter James, Winnifred and James.
I am a descendant of Janet Ellen.

Hello BKJ,
Janet (nee Sanders) and Leslie Gledhill were my great aunt and uncle.  Are you able to tell me about them?  Also, if you have any birth, death or marriage register documents for them or their children, could you possibly attach them to this site?
So far, I've found children (*)
I'm working on the Patrick and Kathrine Bourke (nee Donaghue) & their descendants, so may have some bits and pieces of interest to you.
Do let me know.
Many thanks.

Hi there.
Yes Janet Ellen was my great grandmother. Her first son, Percival Clarence Fletcher was my Grandfather. When Janet Ellen married Leslie Gledhill, he was adopted at the age of 12 and he became Percival Clarence Gledhill. My mum was the only child of his marriage to Elizabeth Jean Stewart.
Janet Ellen and Leslie had 3 children, 1 son and 2 daughters. One daughter is still alive and I am in touch with her. I am also in touch with another grand-daughter.
I have a few photos of the Sanders Family and will hunt them up.
I also have lots more info if you need it.
Love to hear more.

Janet Ellen Sanders (Fletcher) Gledhill was my paternal grandmother.  She died in 1940 and is burried at Fremantle Cemetary.  Uncle Digger (Arthur) put updated her tomb stone just before he died.  I am the daughter of Janet's youngest son.  I am the daughter of Robert Leslie.  When my grandmother died circa 1939, it was war time and my grandfather Leslie meredith ernst gledhill was a shipwight.  Digger was in the merchant navy.  No one was there to look after dad so he was put in places like Bindoon and Clontarf.  Horrible stuff.  Dad knew very little about his family and we had no photos.  We would appreciate photos of my grandmother, great grand parents and of course any photos of my Dad as a child, youngster or whatever.  We only have photos of Dad from the time he married my mum etc...my sister and I have been retracing the family and now have one photo of Thomas sanders, ellen bourke sanders, (Uncle) Clarry (Fletcher) Gledhill, One photo of my paternal grandmother seated with her sister (Aunty) Kit standing along side.  Dad died in 1993 from Cancer.  Digger died circa 2003.  Aunty "Norn" died a few years after Dad.  Aunty Jean (the bean) is still alive, as are all my cousins.  Hope this helps some of you.  Hope some of you can help us.  :-)
