I have Val Neal's transcript of Tideswell parish regs (http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/DBY/ValNealCDs.html).

As has already been said, there's no marriage in Tideswell for Edward and Elizabeth. However, I've just had a quick look what I can see for you...

They have just two children's baptisms listed:
son Richard, 24/10/1826, Edward a weaver
son George, 18/01/1829, Edward a weaver

The burial reg, doesn't list any childrens burials, but has
Edward Leech, husband of Elizabeth, age 61, 21/05/1856
Elizabeth Leech, widow of Edward, age 74, 11/2/1875

The only potential baptism for Edward in Tideswell is 11/11/1794 to Richard & Martha. (He also had an elder brother Edward who died earlier that year aged 1).

As for Elizabeth's origins...

She consistently gives her place of birth as Tideswell in censuses, and in the 1861 one was living with John Ward and his wife Sarah (age 46), as "sister in law", indicating she was almost certainly Sarah's sister.

John married Sarah Wain in Tideswell in 1845, when her father's name was given as James.

A matching baptism for Sarah, daughter of James Wain & his wife Sarah is found in 1813. Looking at her siblings, there is baptism for her sister Elizabeth on 15/11/1799.

There are no subsequent burials, or marriages for Elizabeth Wain, so I would say there's a very high chance that she was Edward Leech's wife.
Too many to list! But always particularly interested in my eight ggp lines : ALLEN, HODGKINSON, FLINT, SWINDELL, SHELDON, BINGHAM, JACKSON - all in Derbyshire; and ELLWOOD in Cambridgeshire

A BIG THANKYOU for all that information.

It certainly fills in a few gaps.  As you say I think Elizabeth (WAIN) must have been Edward Leech's wife.  I didn't know her maiden name was Wain so thanks again for that.
