Andy ,
Im guessing by your surname , you're related ?! .. Im writing a book on the history of bellyboarding/surfriding & a good friend has a copy of the book , it would be great to chat & see what youve found out , his book was really the only early guide to surfriding & as such pretty special .
It would be great to hear from you .
All the best
John

You should have. At the top of the page, it should read "Welcome back ...." You have X messages. I didn't get to your reply quick enough to see your email address.

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for anything at all on Ronald Spencer Funnell born 1894 in Totnes, Devon. Commercial Traveler in 1916 when he joined the Territorial Forces. Lived in Newquay from 1944 to 1962, if not longer. Published a 36 page book "The Art of Surf-Riding on the Cornish Coast" in 1934, republished in 1953. Be grateful for anything concerning his life and achievements: newspaper articles, trade directory entries, surf club archives, relatives...
Thanks in advance for any help.
Hi Andy
Please can you get in touch - I have several of Ronald Funnell's books and the surfboards made for him back in the 1930s. I run the Museum of British Surfing and would like to chat to you about him.
I'm not sure the PM system is reliable on here. You can find our website at http://www.museumofbritishsurfing.org.uk and email from there.
Regards, Peter
