The Marriage theory just took a knock for Thomas and Ann Watkin in 1841 show with a son Thomas born in c 1820 who like his Father is shown as a Shoemaker. Also against is the fact that Thomas Junior is showing as a Batchelor in Rhosymedre.

Ummmmmmm, don't follow quite :-\

Son Thomas b. 1820 could well be the Thomas who married in 1845 - what occupation did this Thomas have in the Rhosymedre register?  Also, what was the age given?

Hello to you both
I thought I'd just sent a message but couldn't see it so here goes again.
William,so glad you have been talking to Geoff in Texas.
Thomas did marry Jane Jones but when Thomas died in 1851 age 31 Jane married his brother Watkin Watkin what symbol should I use how about !!!!! Shoemaking seemed to run in the family.
I came on line to put an old photo of me as I thought Gadget and I had something in commom, we both liked bikes. Won't bother now as I wasn't on a bike

There is no age given for the Thomas who married in Rhosymedre, but like his Father is given as a Shoemaker. The Thomas Junior was given as of Oswestry. The 1851 Census does show Thomas Watkin(1793) and Mary Watkin(1816) as both being married with sons George(1845) and William(1846).
