John Hoare b 1816 Scotland, d December Quarter 1884 Chorlton.
Rebecca Unwin b1836 Bawtry, d March Quarter 1892 Chorlton.

Sorry, your John & Rebecca not listed on the Burial index.

the only one that went close was John HAW aged 67 buried 2nd Dec 1883 at St Bartholomew, Arkendale YKS W/R.

Can anyone with the index look up a burial for Joseph Travis born c 1812. He could have died betweeb 1867 and 1881 probably in the Oldham area.

Hi Dinkey,

I think this would be your John.

Johhn TRAVIS buried 27th Dec 1871 aged 59 yrs at Lancashire, Hey, St John the Baptist.

He's the only one in that age group, a few others are possible other than age, either way too old or too young.

I was looking for Joseph, Can you confirm that the above information refers to Joseph or is it John. Also, does it say where Hey is.

Sorry about the wrong name there.

It is JOSEPH, and they do not say where HEY is situated.

Thank you for confirming that it was Joseph that you found.

I did  as you suggested and googled for St Johns the Baptist Hey Lancashire. It seems that it is in Lees Ashton-u-Lyne. By coincidence, I last saw Joseph on the 1851 census at Milking Green Lees Lancs. I am desperate to find him in the 1861 and he must be on the 1871 census if the burial information you found relates to the Joseph Travis that I am looking for.
