Hi Althea,

I mentioned that one.  ;D

I think this is William and Elizabeth Bury (She was born in Devon)  This couple have son William 30 so I think that is William Bury Hender 1809 and Annabella who was born around the same time as Elizabeth Rowe Hender so not Phil's family. He later remarries.

I think Phil's couple are in Stoke Climsland in 1841.

HO107/134/10 Folio 20 Page 14

HENDER William 50 Y Watchmaker
HENDER Elizabeth 50 Y

Thomas Rowe Hender is a watchmaker so it all fits. I wouldn't have thought Hender so common to have 3 couples with the same name around at the same time, A Physician, a Watchmaker and a Shoemaker..........Kris  :D

Dear oh dear - while I've been catching up on beauty sleep, you guys have worked yourselves silly!!!

Terrific to both of you......I SHOULD point it out to the chap with the incorrect names on his tree before he goes further back still!!!

Having said that, the original post still leaves me wondering about Elizabeth's parents etc.....

Louisa Hender is a grocer in Fore Street, Callington in the 1841...looking at other pages I found this;

Callington, Fore Street
Sampson ROW 60 WATCHMAKER
Sarah 65
James 30 watchmaker
Jane 20
selina 7
Laura 5
Thomazin 3
all BIC

I wonder if they are related , being in the watch/clock making business?

Hi Phil
Realise we have been taking you on a round about journey to your first q, but confirming right person
So it is Elizabeth married to the watchmaker
Then looking at dates, and ages children bap would be more likely 1791 not 1781.??

IGI has several submitted and one that looks like they have seen register with a birthdate included
Birth:  03 MAR 1784   Callington, Cornwall, England

Christening:  14 MAR 1784   Callington, Cornwall, England

Prents William and MAry

2 MAR 1794 there is a William and Catherine bap for Elizabeth Rowe at Altarnum

You were definite on the 1781 bap, was this ref from a register?
Bye
Althea
