1851 census

Would appreciate help in finding Edward Jones and family, who lived in St. Martins. I am interested to know the name of his wife and any other family members. Edward was born in Chirk about 1801 and was a labourer. Thank you.

Hi Tati

Thanks very much. I appreciate your help. Weston Rhyn isn't far from St. Martins, but I'm not sure if this is right family or not. Edward did have a son Thomas but he would have been 16 years old in 1851, and the one you found was only 11 years. They were a mining family though, so could be right. Thanks again Tati.

Hi Jane

No, I haven't found them on the 1841 census. Just realised that I made a mistake in previous message to Tati. Thomas, son of Edward Jones was in fact born about 1825, so would have been 26 years old by the time of the 1851 census. I don't think there would have been 2 sons with the same christian name, so don't think the family living at Weston Rhyn is the one I'm looking for. Would appreciate any help you can give.

Ann
