Hi Oneillbd
Thank you for your reply the Catherine O`Neill I have is my gr.grandmother whose maiden name was Connor(O`Connor) from Drumnaquoile.
Catherine was married to Charles O`Neill from Dunturk, in February 1878. Charles was born around 1854/57 and was the son of John O`Neill a farmer his mother was I think called Rose Ann I do not know her maiden name.
On Charles and Catherine`s Marriage Certificate the witnesses were
James Connor and Ann O`Neill, the family were catholic.
They had a daughter born in Drumnaquoile during June 1879 named Roseann.
The family left Co Down around 1881 and settled in Cumberland.
I had a look at my research and I have a Ann Connor (sister to Catherine) who married Bernard O`Neill (brother to Charles) they lived in the North of East England.
regards
malshie
