if someone was to add colour to the hospital group it should be as follows,
light blue for the jacket and trousers (which lends its name to the uniform being called "hospital blues")
the lapels that are open should be coloured white to show the lining of the jacket
a white shirt
red tie
the caps are khaki (patients wore their normal head dress with their own regimental badge on them)

Thank you for all your time and effort.  It is really so much appreciated.  It brings rhe slice of history a little more alive.  When there is such a limited supply of photos to go on it is great to have such talents such as those on this thread,

Thank you

Old Rowley, you are a HERO.
I had a vague idea it was bluegrey and cream, or something like that, but not strong enough to be sure it wasn't a vivid imagination at work. Probably won't get it exact, but at least it gives me a sporting chance.
Thank you.

Isn't it funny how you look at a  photo and make assumptions.  I just always thought those were the soldiers uniform and thus going to be some kind of green/brown colour.  Even having read the post giving the colours it is strange I still hadn't figured that that was what it said.  They look so different with colours, and I guess it challenges ones assumptions of a black and white life.

This looks so alive and vibrant.  At some point after that photo Edward was discharged with Nervous Dibilitation and sent back to his old occuption in the Iron Works in Workington.

Thank you so much for all your hard work.

Glad you like it.
Have you noticed the chappie seated on the right has his foot half out of his shoe...I wonder if there was something wrong with it, or was he just resting it.
