I think at least Mary Curly may have come over with her family before 1860. There is this 1851 census entry in Falkirk - everyone showing as born in Ireland:

Thomas Curley 40, labourer
Ann Curley 40
Mary Curley 13
Peter Curley 2
Patrick Flyn 25, lodger

Address: James Street, Laurieston Falkirk

Esther, Mary and Annie emigrated to Canada. I am Esther's grandaughter. Esther and Mary emigrated on the Hesperian from Glasgow arriving in Montreal Nov. 6, 1911.  She travelled to Macleod, Alberta to join Annie (Nan) who emigrated in 1908 to marry James shaw.  Mary traveled with Esther heading for marriage in Regina. Esther married Leo Johnston and had 5 children.

Hi my late brother in law David Paterson was the grandson of Catherine Robertson sister of Esther. David lived here in Falkirk all his life, although one of his sisters emigrated to Canada.

I have received more accurate info recently that indicates only Anne, Esther and Patrick Robertson emigrated to Canada. The Mary Robertson on a 1911 manifest from ship, Hesperian, must be from  a different family.
