Hi there Tegan, There was a Thomas (Tommy) Griffiths nicknamed Gravel who was the local blacksmith in Talley, the building is still there. Apparently he died about four years ago and is buried in St Michaels, Talley. He died unmarried. I understand that someone in his Ancestry composed a famous Welsh hymn. Cheers Stephen Evans :)
