OAKLEY OF KIDWELLY

My great grandfather Alfred Oakley b. 1846 from Kidwelly appears on the 1881 census married to Catherine b. 1846.
Would anybody know Catherine's maiden name ?

Hi obd,

The GRO reference for Alfred's marriage seems to be

Alfred Oakley Dec 1868 Llanelly 11a 874

FreeBMD doesn't show a partner but looking at all Catherines marrying in Dec 1868 in Llanelly, there's a Catherine Hughes, ref. 11a 87_  on FreeBMD. Checking the actual image, it's quite clearly 874

Would you know their deaths as they appear on the 1881 census but not on the 1901 census ? My grand father (their youngest child)  William G Oakley was born abt. 1890 therefore they died from 1890 to 1901.

They're both still alive in 1891 (shout if you need the census details)

The only possible death I see for Alfred is Sep 1910 Llanelly - wondering if he was alive in 1901 but is hiding somewhere

Sorry I should have told you that sometime after the birth of William G Oakley the family moved to the Pontypridd area (civil parish Llantrisant and Ystradyfodwg) so they may have died there.

That's strange.
On the 1901 census William G Oakley is residing with his brother-in-law.
I'll continue searching.

Hello both, cannot help with the death of parents, but found this on the burial index in the location of 1901 census. 

Internment records are available at Treorchy library which would give address next of kin, possible electrol info from addresses. 

All in Plot P852 Trealaw Cemetery

Burial 24158 David Alfred Oakley age 2mths died 1914
Burial A39528 Blodwen Oakley age 8 died 1933
Burial 58488 Sarah Ann Oakley age 66 died 1957
Burial 63902 William George Oakley age 78 died 1968

There is this marriage and births that would fit with above details. 

There are also a number of possible births for this couple betwwen 1914 - 1928  surname Oakley - Mothers maiden name Parker on http://www.freebmd.org.uk
