William HINE Marriage 1850
« on: Saturday 06 September 08 19:21 BST (UK) »
Hi everyone, I am trying to find the whereabouts of the marriage of the above to Elizabeth Ann Hayens in March Quarter 1850 in Totnes reg. district.  I am gradually working my way through the parishes in that area, but without success so far.  Both partners appear to have been born in Ugborough, Devon but I cannot trace the marriage in the Ugborough PRs.  Would be so grateful if anyone can help out on this brick wall.  Many thanks Juppie

The easiest way would be to just get the marriage certificate. It is possible that they were nonconformists or even that they had a registry office marriage without using any church, in which case you could be a long time searching PRs without any luck.

Hi Jorose, Thanks for the advice.  I'm doing this for a friend and I don't think she wants to spend much, which is why I'm searching parish records.  Many thanks for replying.
