Still don't know what that wiggly shape is on the bottom of her dress, towards the back

It looks odd to just be a fold in the fabric which is why I treated it as another furry bit, but that doesn't look right either  >:(

You're right...I had forgotten the bed bugs  :D

They look like good luck rabbit's feet to me ... oooo perhaps we had better whisper in case our own dear Rabbit hears.

So you were wondering what the funny shape at the back was, too.... I sat and looked at that and then thought...ignore it, colour over it and it might go away....unfortunately it didn't.
I also stared a lot at a funny shape on the little lad's sleeve...then I realised it was his sister's shoe...  ::)
Luckily I got that one or I would have made a right fool of myself.

Caz that's great and I really love your colouring.

Rachel has done a fantastic version and the fur is a masterstroke.  I do think you are right about the rabbit's feet!

(I feel I shouldn't ask about the bedbugs.  What ARE you talking about???)

I just wanted to say that this has given me an entirely different view of my great grandmother.  From the other picture you can see her as a bit matronly, but in this one she is really young. 

It must have been quite an experience having a photo taken with the three children, when she had actually given birth to 5 - the other two died, in one month, January 1893 only just over a year before this picture was taken.

Am I imagining a look of pride mixed with fervent hope for the good health of the children with her?
