John Griffin,Ireland to Canada Emigrate

Hi everyone

Can anyone help me with my Grandad. details are >

My Grandad emigrated to Canada, ( don't know when or who with ) he fought in WW1, can't find him in the Canadian Army records.
John Patrick Griffin, he married my Gran in Liverpool 1919, the marriage cert states fathers name was Martin, his passport issued in Montreal Canada dated 1920, gives his place and date of birth as the 4th of March 1886 Galway Ireland.
Can anyone help shed any light on my Grandads life.

Hi Everyone.

My apologies to everyone, I had my Grandads middle name as Edward when it is in fact Patrick, so look-up should read John Patrick Griffin. now amended

he is now thought to be born as Patrick....parents Martin Griffin & Margaret Donahoe
