Foy'a of Fermanagh, Ireland

Trying to find any info on family of Foy's  from Ennisillen-mother Elizabeth Carson married a Mr Foy about 1825 -he died about1836 and she emmigrated to la Chute, Quebec, Canada about 1847 with 5 children.  Looking for his name or any info from Ireland.  I do know children'a dates.

Hello perch,

There are three items which are required when searching for Irish ancestors.

1. Denomination.
2. Parish.
3. Townland.

You'll have to rely on Church records as your ancestors were born prior to the introduction of Civil Registration in Ireland. This happened in 1864. The marriages of Non Catholic were registered from 1845 onwards.
