marriage lookup/youle
« on: Tuesday 16 September 08 10:25 BST (UK) »
Hi

I'm trying to find the marriage between Constantine Youle of Wellingborough and Mary Saunders of Ely.

From the ages of children in 1841 census the marriage would have been between 1815-1820.

Any help appreciated.

Hi David

There does not seem to be a marriage in Northamptonshire.

I wonder as Ely is in Cambridgeshire it may be worth asking on the
Cambs look-up board.

Hi Caroline

Thanks very much for information - you will realise that I didn't have any success elsewhere!

My gggrandmother was Ann Youle b.1827 who married Edward Smith b.1823 in Wellingborough in 1847.

Best Wishes and thanks again.

Hi David,

Your Edward Smith, was brother to my 2xgreat gradfather Charles Smith.
Both were the sons of Thomas & Ann Smith of Stanwick, then Irchester.

Hi Carole

Thanks for information.

I am aware of Charles and other brothers but I'm afraid I haven't pursued the Smith line back beyond Thomas although I think there is another Thomas born in Stanwick about 1750.

Our Thomas married Ann Taylor of Welford in Rushden and I have often wondered how they came to meet each other.

The Smiths seem to be very healthy.  My gggrandfather Edward reached 81, my grandmother Ada was 94 and her sister Ellen was 101.

I was born in Wellingborough and Ann Youle is the original Wellingburian in my tree - the Smiths, Richardsons and
Dickens all arrived there in the mid-1850s..

Best Wishes

Hi David, i'm new to this forum and was searching Youle's in Wellingborough and came across your post.  I'm a descendant of James Youle - Constantine's brother.  I can't see any way to PM you on this forum but would be very interested in any info you have on the ancestors of these 2.
Hope to hear from you soon!
