1901 census lookup please WILLIAMS

Charles
Herbert
Ernest
Lucy

I have already searched on FreeBMD with a date range of 1892 - 1910 and I have a number of hits.

I really need to find something in the census to try and form some type of link iykwim.

I can't seem to understand why in the 1901 census there is no entry for Thomas and Alice Williams!

Sorry to be a pain but did you only check the Wales Census?

Not a lot of help I know, but I can see a Tom Williams living at 21 Aberystwyth Street, the Moors, Cardiff in the :1907 Cardiff Western Mail Directory.

NB. Looking back through other census years Alice c 1871 Emma c1866, so it looks like they have given their ages incorrectly in 1901

Thank you so much. Not sure if it is them. The names of the children don't seem right. Having said that not 100% sure the names of the children I have been given are correct!

You say in your previous post there is a Tom Williams living at Aberystwth Street in 1907 Cardiff Western Mail Directory. Now that is definitely him. Is there any other information?
This is a lot of help. At least I know he was living in the same street after my nan was born. Thanks.

Sorry there isn't any other information, sometimes an occupation is stated but not in this case
I have a CD of 1907 but I think I found a 1914 version on -line at one time, so try a google of 1914 Cardiff Western Mail Directory....not sure how often it was up-dated.

It might not be them but there are three names you know of in the family Alice, Tom, and Charles. possibly the other children were born after the 1901.

You say you have the marriage certificate of Tom and Alice, what was Alice's fathers name?. I found a family in 1881 and 1891 with father of Alice and Emma Jeffries as John Jeffries, mother Sarah.

I found a marriage of John Rowan and Emma Jeffries in 1886 Cardiff.
