Hi CopperBeech,

I've very belatedly come across your thread. Sidney Smith was my great grandfather and I was searching for some details as I have just come across my grandmothers wedding dress which I believe was made with lace from the family factory. I'd be very interested in anything you know about my Great Grandfather.

Best wishes

Amy

Hi Amy,

Thank you for your reply, and welcome to Rootschat!

Sadly I don't know a lot more about Sidney than I did when this tread started - but I was not aware that he had married, so  if you have connections to him then that is very interesting.

I will dig out my  notes and see if I can find anything for you.

Who was your Gt Grand Mother, and was she from Nottingham?

Kind regards,
Copperbeech5
