There was a thread on the Cambs board a couple of weeks ago on the Dickersons from Gamlingay and Toft

Thanks for your prompt replies, Rosie99 & Bedfordshire boy.

I think there must have been at least 2 lines of Ushers in Tempsford as I have found several that I can't match to my line. I wasn't sure if James & Mary were the ones.  I knew his father was James from the marriage certificate so guess this must be the one. Next quest is to find James' parents.

I contacted the Cambridge records office and they sent quite a bit of info on the Dickersen family.  I'll dig it out and see if any of it is useful for the Dickerson thread. I found a Sarah Dickersen b.1803 from Gamlingay married to a William Usher b.1801. Possibly Letitia's sister but I don't think this William is in my line of the Ushers.
Thanks :)

Just found an Annie Usher b 1875 who married George Facey of Goldington in 1892, & possibly died 1900, leaving him with 2 children Mable & Percy (as per 1901 census)

Is she linked to your lot ?, & if so do you want details of Faceys.

Regards John
