Hi I am looking for information on my great grandfather James Boyd who was a ploughman on Greenlees Farm in 1915. His wife was Margaret ms Aitken. They had a son Archibald who was born in 1915. Thanks.

Hi other than the info already shared not much more. It is actually James Boyd we are trying to trace as we have found information on his wife. Their son my grandfather was adopted so never knew his father at all. If anyone knew where he went after Greenlees Farm that would be amazing. Thanks.

James Boyd and Margaret Aitken were married in Glasgow in 1913. Their marriage certificate will tell you the full names of both of James Boyd's parents, and how old he was. Use this information to find his birth and where he was in the census before he married. If he died in Scotland you should then be able to find his death.

Archibald Aitken Boyd was born in Cambuslang in 1915 and died in Glasgow in 1979.

Margaret Boyd, other surname Aitken, mother's maiden surname Liddell, died in Shotts in 1924, aged 35.
