Kerry, you need someone from the Australian board who has more info on the NSW Convict records than I do.....they might know what sort of info it may contain.

My ancestors all arrived in South Australia....the state that didn't have convicts transported here, so I have no claims to Australian "Royalty".  ;D  ;D  ;D

Thanks Dee

You are being very helpful as always and it is much appreciated.

This particular family have been giving me grief since I started my tree, and various contacts have come up with different people for the family but none have been quite correct and to finally get to the bottom of it would be great.

I have a feeling I might possibly be on the right track at last because Richard being a convict explains a lot of anomalies.  ;D ;D ;D

Kerry, you might find this useful.....

http://members.iinet.net.au/~perthdps/convicts/res-01.html

There is a link on there to the AUS-CONVICTS Mailing List. It may well be the easiest way for you to find out exactly what the info from the NSW State records might contain before you spend any money.

Glad to help with what I can find.  :D
