Look-up for Marriage/Births St Helier Jersey

I need help with a long running saga please?

My mystery man is Charles Tivey born 1840 Wormley Hertfordshire. In 1841 & 1851 he is in the census with with parents Joseph & Hannah (nee Cutts) in Wormley.

1861 he disappears, although there is a Charles Levey, Soldier, in Kent who could fit the description.

I think Charles had a daughter named Charlotte abt 1869 Marylebone, London according to the 1871 census, I found the daughter in the 1871 English census with Charles' parents Joseph & Hannah in Wormley ~ No sign of Charles, but I have been in contact with someone from Charlottes line who sent me Charlotte's Canadian marriage and she name's her father as Charles, mother Ameary  and states she was born Wormley. 

However, in the Channel Island census 1871 I found Charles, listed as aged 31, a gardener (as his father) his wife is Armance aged 26, born in France and there is a son aged 1, Henry born Jersey St Saviour's.  I presume that these are Charlotte's parents, but there is no birth for Charlotte (circa 1869) in England.

I'd be grateful if someone could check for births and marriages for TIVEY around that era if at all possible 

Then I think they may have emigrated to Canada BUT that is one for another day!

I've looked at St Saviour births 1860 to 1871 and there is no Charlotte.

I've then looked at St Saviour and St Helier (Parish Church, Registry Office and St Lukes) for a Tivey marriage and there is no entry.

I've been looking at the Canadian Passeneger lists and there is an entry for a Charlotte Tivey, born about 1868. She departed London and arrived Quebec 14th May 1888.

There is also an entry in FreeBMD for a Charlotte Ann Tovey in March 1869 in Faringdon. That may not be of any use.

This has given me new hope!  Are there other Tiveys on the passenger list or lady's with the first name Armance?

Hi Jan

There are 14 going to Canada and 1 to New York but no Armence. They were all after 1911 and 4 were born in Australia and 5 from England. I can't tell you any more because my "free" subscription has run out. If you put a post on Emigrants to Canada board they are very helpful as is the information already provided.
