Am going to try and add a birth for Kezia and William at Whetstone Edge on 24th (no month or year) entry no. 2286.   It came from ? Labs (can't remember what) but I kept it just in case and have found it again.   I note that George was registered officially as FORSTER!   Sue

Hi Sue,

Well done for getting my point re William and Kezia as possible parents!
It is difficult when you have all these options though.
I think there is a difficulty in 'proving' the relationship and not sure if anything will ever be proven.
One thing though is that in 1861 Kezia is living in Shelton, Staffs - only about 14 miles from Congleton but more importantly (to me anyway) only about 3 miles from Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire.
According to one of the family trees, she is living there in 1860 when a son was born.

My big problem now of course is that I cannot remember which website I looked at for George Foster and Kezia.   I remember it was quite comprehensive and they had justified all they had found and were certain about but there were many things they were not certain about.   It was an anc. co tree I am sure but which one .................... I can't for the life of me find it.!!!! :(   I really need to look at this tree again with all its "causes of death" - in Kezia's case I believe pneumonia etc.

Which tree is it - I can't remember and can't find it ???   Not sure if it is allowed to quote anc.co trees but would be delighted to hear by PM if this is the case.

I have the same problem with my George FORSTER . I know that John FORSTER B 1835 was my 3GGf and lived / visiting parent-in-laws in Woore Lane , Buerton in 1861 . He married Annie TAYLOR  and had 9 children . I think I have found him on the 1851 census but am not sure ?

1851 Census
John Foster/Forster aged 17 son of George & Ann, born in Audlem Cheshire

George Foster    52
Ann Foster    48
Mary Foster    25
John Foster    17
Emma Foster    15
Ellen Foster    10
George Foster    11
Thomas Foster    9
Harriett Foster    5
Mary Moss    10

does this make his father George FOSTER B 1799 ? which then begs the question , is this the George that married Ann Cadman ?

I am also confused as to when George died as I have found several George FORSTER/FOSTER's on the 1871 census as well as a death in Sep 1870 ?

George Forster Sept qtr 1870, Nantwich Cheshire RD aged 79

1871 Census
George Forster age 76 b Audlem

George Forster    76
Harriett Forster    24
Eliza Hall    12
Thos Hall    10

1871  Census
George Forster aged 75 b Bunbury with wife Ann living in Hatherton

George Forster    75
Ann Forster    63
George Forster    24
John Forster    15

I'm sooooooooooo confused , Can anyone help me please ??????????

Thanks  Debs
