Brickworks in Tullamore ?

I have been told there was a brick works in Tullamore,I would like any info on this brick works also I 've been told that the bricks were transported a long the canal ,I would very much like to read accounts of men that may have worked either in the brick works or the canal + it would be brilliant to see any old photo's of these man at work,if you have any info or know any web sites I'd be grateful if you will let me know,Thank you ,Nipy

No Aghadowey I hadn't seen that link,what I though was interesting was the Offaly history site had a very good book section & I may  have a browse to see if there is a good book that may show some thing of life at work in brickworks  &  the canal.Thank you ,Nipy.

I've since found out that all along the Canal,from Tullamore to Ferban places like Turraun, Pullough all had a number of small brick works,there was many of them, the main one been Dolphins,if these smaller brickworks also made bricks for Dolphins I don't know.I'm still on the look out for more info so if anyone finds any snippets,please do let me know,regards Nipy
