Great to hear from you.

This must be my Auntie Elsie - daughter Hilda who married Kenneth Edgar - moved to Alfreton.

Look forward to more information.

Regards

Elly

Dear Alex :)

My Dad was Wally Browne - Elsie being his half-sister and yes Vi was my Mum.  Dad died in 2007 very suddenly and Mum passed away this May - again very suddenly while on holiday in Newcastle.

I have been tracing the 'Dutch' side of the family tree using your great great grandmother Elsie Deans Dutch my grandmother as my central point and working round her.  I have entered some of the information I have found on my Ancestry side - family tree under the name of Elly Reynolds.  If you are not a member of ancestry I still think you will be able to view as I have made it public.

If you are interested, I would be happy to do a quick summary of what I have found so far and send it to you.  I have also gone onto Scotlandpeoples and found details of births, marriages and deaths.  Again I have copies of the certificates if you are interested.  Just bought myself a scanner so would be happy to send copies to you.

You may already have researched the Dutch side and know more than me.

All for now - take care

Love and best wishes  :D

Elly

Hello Mr Alex and Elly01

Just happened upon this forum as My mother and sister are now traveling to Aberdeen and wanted to know if I could come up with any info on our ancestors.

I am the Grandson of Helen Pennant, Jesse was her twin sister, but she died when she was very young (don't know what age she died). Mum obviously states Elsie being her Aunt.

Helen Married William England and they moved down to Great Yarmouth and had 4 children: George, Elsie, Margret and Maria (Maria being my mother and the only survivor).
Unfortunately William died during WW2 and is commemorated in Great Yarmouth. You can find him on the war graves commission website.
This is my first post so obviously I can't PM you but would love to hear from you both.

Hi - Great to hear from you

I think I may have a copy of the death certificate for Jesse.  I will look it up for you.

I have also written out a family tree which I can let you have a copy of.

I live in Norwich and Great Yarmouth is only 30mins away - one of my hobbies is taking photos in cemeteries and I have been to Great Yarmouth cemetery often and have visited William's grave.  There is also a mention of William's death in one of the local books - again I will look this out for you.

My father was Elsie's half-sister - so his mother (my grandmother) was the mother of Helen (your grandmother) - if I have this right - this would mean that your grandmother Helen was also my father's half-sister.

I also have a photo of the grave of our grandmother (Elsie Deans Dutch) as she is buried in Norwich Cemetery with my grandfather.

You may already have some of the info above but if not please let me know - I see that I can add attachments via this site.

Regards

Elly

Hi Elly

My mother and I still live in Norwich also. I will hopefully visit George's cemetary Belgium sometime this year. Nan Helen is buried in Norwich cemetary, I can give you a map of where she is if you want. likewise if you can let me know where Williams grave is that would be great.

At work atm so will post again later.

Mel

I also found your family tree on ancestry. I can see a lot of work has gone into it.
