I believe that Sgt James Marks was my great grandfather through his daughter Lily (Elizabeth) who was born in 1878 in Birr. She went to England before 1901 and married my grandfather James Stott in Manchester in 1910.
Lily's mother was Cath Connolly and they married in India in 1863.
I do have some details of his record in India and of their other children.
