Shoebridge Marriage Please.
« on: Tuesday 07 October 08 01:47 BST (UK) »
Hello  there

Is  anyone able  to  look at a  marriage  certificate at all?

I am  looking  for the information on marriage certificate of Peter Shoebridge and Phillidelphia Vinall  in 1823. It  is on Pallot's marriages.

I  can  order a  copy  from  the Centre for  Kentish Studies but am a bit loathe to  pay  the  7 pounds  which is about $20 Aus (which is now doubt a fair price I  may add),  as  I  do  not  know  if  it  will  have any  further information  other than  their names on  it.

Can  someone advise me here please

kind  thoughts Jenn

p.s

I started  this off in  this  topic

Hi Jenn

You could try contacting Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells libraries - I'm not sure exactly which copies of registers they have :-\

I  had  ummed and ahhed over whether to apply  for a copy but  have had much advice over  that fact  that  probaly parents etc would not appear.

A  coincidence in all  of  this but  my  birth date is  actulaly  the  5th April.......a  bit spooky

So once again  thanks  and don't hesitate  to ask  if  you  need  any  help  this  side of  the world.

Hi there -
I have a contact in Australia who told me she had seen your post looking for stuff about Philadelphia Vinall.

Firstly, I must apologise to you if you have already seen my post, I thought at first you were looking for Philadelphia Newnman under one of her married guises! Hers is the family I have searched well into the 20th century. However, since she was your Philadelphia's mother, no harm done with the back ancestry.

I don't know quite how to go about you viewing my tree. It is posted on Genes. Do you have a Genes account? If not perhaps I could send you what it is you need with regard her family. I have a few Shoebridges - namely Peter's brother & cousin Frances - in other marriages also.

I have no idea where exactly you are in your research either. If you would like to get in touch, please do so. I have only joined here to get in touch with you, so I am hoping you still need information

Regards
Suzanne

Hello  there

thanks  for getting in contact with me, I  have also answered you on  the other thread.

Yes I  do have my  tree on GU

So  you  have my Phillidelphia Vinall in  your tree?

I  have  Peter's brothers and sisters and back a bit  mostly  thanks  to  the amount of Shoebridge trees out  there that go  back

Kind thoughts Jenn
